Here are the last couple of weeks via Instagram photos:

1. Braden wanted the full Mario Kart Wii experience (Halloween costume from 2011). Notice the Christmas wreath(s) still on the front door. Yeah...
2. Braden cracked himself up telling me about his friends at school looking up the word "poop" in the dictionary on the iPad (which reads the words out loud). Poop. Hilarious to 8-year-old boys everywhere.

3. I got to wrap a baby shower present for a friend of mine. I gave her a multi-colored chevron blanket, which I wanted to keep, and a board book copy of I Spy Little Letters. That is my FAVORITE alphabet book of all time. (Brown kraft gift bag from Target and a rainbow pack of tissue paper from Walmart). :)
4. Braden received the star for Effort after his basketball game on Saturday. His coach said it was because he was always working so hard his face turns red (which it does... just like his momma).

5. I'm trying to choose the perfect blue color for our lower kitchen cabinets. I've decided waxing them (after painting with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint) is just too much work, so I'm switching to Benjamin Moore Advance paint. Wythe Blue is *almost* a match for the ASCP Duck Egg Blue (by the way, my mom used to raise ducks, and she says their eggs are not blue - at least hers weren't). :) Anyway... I'm still choosing a color. Wythe Blue might be a bit too green. I'm also looking at Homestead Green, which is bluer. Who names paint colors???
6. I told David I wanted to go old-school and have pumpkin pie for my birthday. When I was a little girl, I used to request pumpkin pie instead of birthday cake. So, he made me one. He's awesome like that. AND, he's doing great with his diet and exercise program, so he didn't even eat any of it. I love my man! :)

7. Not only did David whip up a pumpkin pie for my birthday, he also made a yummy ham dinner, complete with sour cream (which he detests) for my baked potato. :) Note: He didn't make the sour cream... he bought it. But he made a special trip to the store to get it just for me.
8. Cameron loves hot chocolate (heated milk mixed with Ovaltine). He likes to be my helper (sometimes).

9. Typical Cameron lunch: peanut butter and banana sandwich on a hot dog bun (cut up into lots of little pieces), the rest of the banana, and strawberries on the side.
10. Braden has struggled with finishing his math fact quizzes in the allotted time lately. I had him practice on the flash card app on my phone before taking this week's subtraction assessment, and he did a lot better! Go B!

11. Braden got to watch Star Wars Episode I this past weekend, and was showing me all the pod racers in his Star Wars Lego book. I mentioned that we had an old pod racer video game, and he got all excited. So... our old Nintendo 64 is now hooked up to the TV in the playroom. Daddy joined in the fun. They're playing NFL Blitz 2001. :)
12. For Valentine's Day, I gave the boys each a light-up Star Wars light saber with m&ms inside. They were a big hit.

13. We got Braden's basketball pictures at practice this week. His facial expression cracked me up! :)

14. Goodnight hugs.
15. After getting a heads-up email from Braden's teacher this morning, we watched a bit of the live video of Asteroid 2012 DA14, and then looked at the globe to see the part of the earth that it was passing closest to (the eastern Indian ocean). This globe is cool because it just rests in a plastic base so you can pick the ball up and turn it any direction you want. :)
Hope you've had a great week!
