1. Last Friday's parenting devotional. Cameron started asking me questions about how to go to Heaven and how to have Jesus in his heart.
2. We dropped Braden off at church for the RA Walk-a-Thon, and then Cam and I ate dinner out. He said, "I love ordering myself," and also, "I love my duck." He told the waitress he wanted lemonade to drink, and then when she came back, he told her he wanted green beans and chicken. David was on his way back from visiting his mom, so he picked B up when the Walk-a-Thon was over later that night.
3-4. The "augmented reality" 3D app for the Chick-fil-A cow hero comics is amazing!
5-6. While David was taking Braden to see Hotel Transylvania on Saturday afternoon, I surprised Cameron with cars from Mater's Tall Tales. He was so excited and said, "Oh, dey're awesome!"
7. David built a fire in our new-to-us fire pit and we roasted hotdogs and marshmallows with the boys (or as Cam says, "smarshmallows"). It was nice. Cam was a little fearful of the fire. He alternated between saying, "I don't like the fire." and "I love camping." :)
8. Only bad thing about a backyard campfire... gotta wash the smokey clothes before you go to bed or the whole house will be stinky.
9-10. The boys had fun at friend's birthday party.
11. The fall colors are starting to look pretty.
12. I'm drooling over this Sony ultrabook on rollback at Walmart. Core i5 processor, solid state drive... Sigh...
13. Cam says, "I'm just fwowin' (throwing) my ducks all day!"
14. Cam says, "It's three-zero-zero!" He can get up from nap at 3:00.
15. This is what happens on the 10-minute drive to school when you don't actually go to sleep before you get up at three-zero-zero.
16. The big spider that was on our front window last week has now moved to the playroom window. Braden made me close the blinds because he was scared. I'll admit, it is a little creepy. But also cool. And very Fall/Halloweeny.
17. Cam and I played Mickey while David and Braden were gone to church Wednesday night. He wanted to re-enact the Easter Clubhouse Hunt movie. We couldn't find the Easter eggs, so we used play fruit instead. He took this picture. Nice job, son!
18. Cameron hurt his toe and when I asked if he wanted me to kiss it, he said, "No! I will kiss it!" Also, I won't include a photo, but he was very excited to get to wear big boy underwear to bed at night for the first time!
19. Braden is on a fall break from school right now, so he accompanied us to Cameron's little exercise class on Thursday. The teacher is really nice and let him come in to the class with Cameron. They had a lot of fun together.
That was our week! How was yours? I was hoping to do another backyard campfire this weekend, but it's SO cold now and we're under a burn ban (I think due to high winds). Brrr...
