I am starting to wonder if I'll be able to keep doing Project Life every year (Not sure what I'm talking about? Check out this site: Project Life). I may need to come up with a different plan for next year. That makes me sad because I like Project Life SO much. But, it has just been TOO much to do every single week. Sigh... I just wish I could scrap faster! I think I need to REALLY pare down what I do and how many choices I allow myself in my layouts. I *tried* to do that this year, and I think I've been more successful than last year, but it's still overwhelming at times. I love doing it, but I don't want to have to be doing it ALL the time. You know? Anyway... I'm sure I'll keep thinking on this and let you know what I decide when I do (and I'm sure you're very concerned and will be waiting on pins and needles, right?). ;)
Here's Week 19 of 2012: May 6-12 (I started my weeks on Sundays last year, but switched to Mondays this year, which I like much better). Anyway, again... here they are:

Digital Scrapbooking Supplies Used for Week 19:

First of all, I love the pages! Gorgeous! My first question is how in the world did you remember all about using your errands app, laundry schedule and shopping list from over a year ago!? Please tell me you kept some sort of journal?
ReplyDeleteI too am wondering how long I will be able to " keep up" with project life too. This is my first year, and honestly I am surprised I have made it as far as I have. But I think to myself, am I really going to spend all of my Sunday afternoons and evenings working on my PL pages? It makes me wonder, but also makes me sad to think of those future "little things" that won't ever get documented if I stop this project. So for now I continue and I love it! Hope you do the same as I love your pages!
Hi Julia! Thank you! :) I do keep a journal. It's a word document, and I set up tables on each page that are dated (one row/box per day). I try to make sure I write in it at least once a week. I may do all the writing on one day, but I go back and type what happened on each day in the appropriate box. It has worked really well for me, and I've been able to keep up with it for the most part. I started it in 2012, and then created a new document for 2013 (identical except for the dates). Here's a post where I talked about it: Project Life: Still Pondering
DeleteI know I have to make changes for next year (or maybe even for the rest of this year), but I haven't figured out what yet. I've tried to do monthly spreads before (vs. weekly), but it was too overwhelming to sort through a whole month's worth of photos and memories at one time. So, I decided a weekly approach would be easier. I think I'm just too much of a perfectionist. Not to say that my pages are perfect by any means, but I spend WAY too much time agonizing over each decision. I've created full layouts (usually minus the journaling) only to come back the next day and completely rework it (I did that yesterday, in fact). So... I don't know what will happen. I definitely want to keep doing an album for each year, but I have GOT to find a way to get it done faster. :)
