InstaFriday!

Happy Friday! We've had a good week. I got off my rear and cleaned the baseboards in our master bathroom. Whew! So glad that's done... they were disgusting. No, really. G-R-O-S-S. It took a lot of elbow grease and about 50 Lysol wipes (which I know aren't great for the environment, but they take grime off baseboards better than anything else I've tried). I'll spare you before and after pictures. I did use my time wisely, though, and prayed for people while I was busy scrubbing. I got that idea from Sara. She mentioned doing that while painting her dining room table. I like order, so I did it alphabetically, and prayed for everyone I could think of whose name started with A, then B, then C, and so on. :)

Here's our week in Instagrams:

Last Friday, I took the boys to a really fun surprise birthday party. It wasn't a surprise for the birthday boy, but it was a surprise for us since Braden forgot to give me the invitation, and we found out about the party 15 minutes before it started! I give myself kudos for being so spontaneous. ;) It was at a local retro arcade. They have a bunch of the old arcade video games as well as several little mock living rooms set-up with vintage TVs and gaming systems (Atari, Nintendo, Sega Genesis, etc.). They also have a console record player in the party room and a bunch of vintage board games. It was a lot of fun, and I absolutely loved the rainbow cake in a jar!

Devotional time with Daddy. | David took the boys grocery shopping. Cam was SO excited to find fruit snacks with Tinkerbell and Periwinkle. He may or may not have slept with the box all week. | Braden's first baseball game of the season. Go White Sox! (they won!)

Dinner out at Dixie Cafe after the baseball game, including banana pudding for dessert. | Waiting on our lunch at Chili's after church on Sunday (have I mentioned we've been eating out TOO much??). | The boys have been sitting on the same side in restaurants lately, and that means David and I get to sit together on the other side (we ALWAYS opt for a booth if available). Braden snapped this picture of us. I think my smile looks fake. And I have a double chin. David looks great, though! ;)

I took Braden on a class field trip today (hence my lateness in posting my InstaFriday pictures). I'm hoping to do a whole post about it soon. Have a terrific weekend! We've got another baseball game (if it doesn't get rained out!).

    1. Thanks, Marla. :) With all this eating out, though, I'll probably have one before too long! Ha.
