Here's our actual WEEK in Instagrams (not just the weekend):

Braden wrote a sweet story about his favorite friends. | His teacher wrote some super comments on his math test from last week, so I hung it on the bathroom mirror to encourage him (they had standardized testing this week).

Braden sorted laundry without me asking him to do it! | Since they had testing at school this week, we didn't have any homework to do on Wednesday (they have school at school two days a week and school at home the other days), SO... Daddy tasked the boys with cleaning the playroom. It was REALLY messy. I had B set the timer on the microwave for 10 minutes while they cleaned and then they got a 5-minute break. We did that over and over all morning until the playroom was clean. | Welcome home, Daddy! He was very pleased with their playroom-cleaning accomplishment.

Cameron was very excited about all the "pink snow" falling from the trees. | Pink trees | Cam and I refilled our bird feeder, and lots of pretty birds came for a snack. We saw cardinals, gold finches, purple finches, big raven-type birds (not so pretty), and some kind of little gray and black bird with a tuft on its head like a Cardinal. Our resident squirrels also enjoy the birdseed. We have one that hangs upside-down on the feeder and sticks his arm in the holes to pull out the seeds. It's entertaining.

I was going to do a whole post about Braden's class field trip to the one-room schoolhouse, and I might still, but I thought I'd go ahead and include the Instagrams I took while we were there. All the kids dressed up in Little House on the Prairie style clothes. I didn't get any great pictures of all the girls in their dresses and bonnets on my phone, but I promise they were there and they were adorable! The school master did a terrific job teaching the kids about school in the olden days. They did spelling lessons on slates, made cups out of paper, and a few lucky volunteers got to try on the dunce cap and stand with their noses in a circle on the chalkboard. They had a spelling bee, too, but Braden didn't want to participate. It was SO cold in the schoolhouse (no heat!), and he did not want to leave the comfort of his quilt. I could have spent hours in there taking pictures of all the little antique details.

David stayed home with Cam while we went to the one-room schoolhouse. When we got back, we found them taking a nap. So sweet. The bunting is the one I got from Meg's shop. I hung it between the windows in our bedroom for now. It's SO long! I love it.
Well, that was our week! :)
