Last day of school before Christmas break! I gave the kids in my class a Christmas card with a group photo of our class where I had added a santa hat to each person’s head. The principal loved it. :) We had our class Christmas parties. Mine was surprisingly calm. We picked Cameron up from his school, and then went back to my school to load up all my goodies. I got several sweet homemade gifts from my students. We were going to pick up Chick-fil-A for dinner on our way home from school, but decided to eat there instead. There was a family near our table speaking Spanish, and Braden REALLY wanted to go tell them, “Feliz Navidad.” I was a little hesitant (you never know what might offend someone), but told him that if they were still there when we got ready to leave, he could. He could tell that I was a little nervous about it, and then he asked, “How do you say Happy Hannukah in Spanish?” I think maybe he thought I was worried that they didn’t celebrate Christmas. I couldn’t answer his question, but I started laughing because in my head I was singing the song from the Phineas and Ferb episode about the Mexican-Jewish Cultural Festival. :) After we ate, we had time to play in the play area. Cam climbed up with Braden and went down the slide for the first time! He even did it by himself several times! My big boy.
OH my...how I do love that kid!! Feliz Navidad!!! :)
