That said, I have just now started warming up to turqoise (the "color of the year" for 2010), and I'm thinking about painting a few little pops of it in my house - especially in the kitchen.
So, I'm browsing this new-to-me blog tonight called House of Turquoise (which has some awesome kitchen photos), and she has a post about the new color of the year for 2011. It's called "Honeysuckle," and it's basically hot mauve... It screams 1989 at me. I immediately thought of, "My colors are blush and bashful, Mama!"

I am 99% positive I wore a belt/mini-skirt/tube-top in that exact color to a junior high band camp dance. I think they were called "multiples," but being the modest girl I am, I only wore it as a scrunchy belt.
Anyway... Will I be painting anything in my house "honeysuckle" this year? Being time-warped back to my adolescent days is not the vibe I'm going for, so no. Ask me again in 2012, though. By then, I may be planning a honeysuckle bedroom makeover. :)
