Luke Skyderwalker

Ever since we rode Star Tours (I know... I need to upload pictures from our trip), Braden has been very interested in Star Wars. He gets our DVD trilogies out about every other day, puts them all in order, and talks about how old he'll be when he gets to watch each one (we don't let him watch PG movies yet). He's planning to watch one movie a year starting with Episode IV (the first one) when he's 7. He says he'll have to watch Episode II (the 2nd to last one) two years in a row because Episode III is PG-13, and he'll only be 11 then. I suggested that he could just wait until he's 13, and then watch all of them, but he didn't like that idea. Anyway... Today, he got this Star Wars book from the book order at school, and was looking at it in the car on the way home.

Here's our conversation...

Braden: Mom, Yoda looks weird. He looks like an alien.
Me: He is an alien. He's not from Earth.
Braden: He's a good alien, though. Luke Skyderwalker's from Earth.
Me: No, he's from Tatooine.
Braden: Where's Anakin Skyderwalker from?
Me: He's also from Tatooine (I keep waiting for him to put two and two together).
Braden: Oh, that's because he has Skyderwalker too... So, Luke Skyderwalker is from that planet right there? (pointing to a picture of the Death Star)
Me: No, that's the Death Star. It looks like a planet... well, actually it looks like a small moon, but that's no moon. It's a space station!

Oh... I crack myself up. :)
