Cameron Clapping / Ice Preparations

I took this little video of Cameron clapping his hands this morning. He is really starting to get the hang of it! I love it. It's so sweet to watch him get excited about doing something new. Even though I know every baby learns to clap, and it's just a normal part of infant development, I can't help but feel SO proud of him! :)

I've been frantically cleaning the house and doing laundry today. I'm surprised Braden hasn't asked me who's coming over to visit. I feel like this predicted ice storm is an unexpected guest. I just want to have clean clothes for everyone if we do, in fact, lose power for the predicted one to five days. I remember last year... the infamous ice storm of 2009 took us by surprise, and I had wet clothes in the washer that sat there for three days while we were without power. You also notice how dirty your house is when you're stuck in it with nothing to do for hours on end. I think I actually swept the living room rug with a broom at one point. Of course, I was nine months pregnant at the time - maybe I was just "nesting." Anyway... I'm praying this whole storm system goes south of us where it will be warm enough to be rain instead of ice (I don't want the ice, but I don't want to wish it on anyone else, either). Just in case, though, I sent David to Walmart a couple of days ago to stock up on batteries.
