Happy New Year!

Braden made this very awesome calendar at school as a Christmas gift for Mommy and Daddy.

The January page is appropriate. We woke up this morning to more snow! David and Braden went outside planning to build a snowman, but the snow was just too dry and powdery. David said you couldn't even form a decent snowball. So, they stomped around in it and made their first snow angels (David had never made one before, either). By the way, David took all of these snow pictures (minus the one of the two of them together).




We spent New Year's weekend with David's family and celebrated Christmas, New Year, and Melinda's birthday. We thought about spending one more night there last night, but decided to come on home. I'm glad we did since we would have been stuck there - or worse, not have known about the weather here and gotten stuck on the way home. Anyway, we really enjoyed our visit. It had been over a year since we had visited David's parents at their house. His grandmother even came over for the day. We played lots of games, and a good time was had by all. :)
