Cameron was 9 months old on November 18, which was also Nanny's birthday! I'm a little late in writing about it due to all the festivities surrounding Braden's 5th birthday this past weekend (I'll write more about that later). Cameron had his 9-month check-up, and he's just perfect according to our pediatrician. Here are his stats:
Weight: 22 lbs. 5 oz. (75th%)
Height: 28 3/4 inches (75th%)*
Head Circumference: 18 1/2 inches (90th%)*
*I have to look these up in a bit - I'm not sure if I'm remembering them exactly.
He still has no teeth, but Dr. C assured us that was normal. He should have one tooth by the time he's a year old. She also said that he should be capable of crawling and pulling up (he has the muscles to support himself), but that if he's just content to sit and play, it may be a while before he actually does it. Or he may just decide to get up and walk. We'll see! Right now, he will sit for a long time and play, and if a toy is out of reach, he will stretch really far to get it. If he's playing on his belly, he will roll back and forth to try to get closer to a toy he wants.
His favorite toy is still his Baby Einstein music player (has been a favorite for a long time), and he always smiles at the squeaky clam from his Lamaze soft aquarium (both of which were baby gifts from teacher friends at PCCA). Gotta love those teachers - they know what kids like! :)

I have decided that if I had to choose only one baby toy to have, it would be the stacking cups. Cameron always plays with them when they're nearby, and Braden will too. They can be stacked or nested three different ways, they're great for pretend play, they pack up small so you can take them with you in the diaper bag, they don't need batteries, and they cost less than $5.00. I just think they're the perfect toy.

Cameron still loves to read Brown Bear, Bear Bear, but is adding more and more books to his repertoire. He likes pretty much any book that requires Mom or Dad to use a silly voice - especially animal sounds. Moo, Baa, La, La, La! is a fun one. We read either The Going to Bed Book or Goodnight Moon each night before bed.
