Braden said a few things today that had us chuckling...
This morning, he and I were watching Playhouse Disney, and a new song from the "My Friends Tigger and Pooh" musical came on between shows. I told Braden that the song was written by Kenny Loggins (he's in the video), and that he wrote another song about Pooh a long time ago (Return to Pooh Corner). After that, an ad for another show came on, and Braden asked, "Who wrote that song?" I said, "I don't know." He said, "Beethoven?" I said, "I don't think so," and was thinking that he was pretty smart to suggest an actual composer, and that he must be learning a lot from watching "Little Einsteins." Then he said, "No! Beethoven's a dog!"
This evening at dinner, David told Braden that I wouldn't be home tomorrow night (I'm having a girls' night out), and asked what Braden thought they should have for dinner. Braden sat up straight in his chair, and said, very properly, "I suspect we have hot dogs."
He was also very excited to get his first Personal Pan Pizza from Pizza Hut. He got to "pay" for it all by himself with his Book It! coupon from preschool (which he kept safely under his Cars baseball cap on top of his head). Our Pizza Hut is a carry-out/delivery only place, so David took Braden to pick it up and bring it home. When they got home, Braden took his box to the table and opened it. He was amazed at the little pizza, and said, "Wow. I have to show this to my Dad! This is awesome." After dinner, he was excited to get to leave his leftovers in the box and put it in the fridge. He said he did not want to eat cold pizza, though.
