Sleeping through the... mid-morning?

Ok, so I think we're on our way to really sleeping through the night. Cameron seems to be ready to sleep for 6 hours straight. We just have to make sure he knows to do it when it's nighttime. :)

In other news, Braden said some cute stuff before bed this evening. He wants to marry me! Of course, he also wants to marry Nanny and Aunt Darla. So, we talked about how that God already knows whether or not he will get married and if so, who that wonderful girl will be. That seemed to really pique his interest. It is pretty amazing that the Lord really does know who his wife will be. She might be a little preschooler down the road or maybe she's not even born yet, but will be soon in some far away place! Awesome. It makes me think of the song "11-6-64" by Steven Curtis Chapman. He wrote it to his wife (her birthday is November 6, 1964). Here are some of the lyrics:

11-6-64 the sun shone a whole lot brighter
Than ever it had before, smiling down on me
At 1:09 PM, both hands of time stopped turning
And you came waltzing in, to change my world for good
And I was only 2 years old, so really I don't know
Exactly what was going on
But I, I bet I laughed and played
Harder on that day
'Cause my whole world was changing on
11-6-64, you breathed your first breath
Suddenly living life meant so much more
On the day that you were born . . .

In more other news, I started reading a new parenting book today. I have like four on my coffee table at the moment, most of which apply to babyhood. This one is more about mommying in general, and I hope will give me lots of good tools to use with Braden (and Cameron when he gets a little older). Anyway, it's called, Don't Make Me Count to Three!. It was recommended by my sweet friend, Ashley, and so far, I love it!

One more thing . . . Please keep Braden in your thoughts and prayers. He has a tummy bug that has been bothering him since the middle of last week. David took him to the doctor yesterday, and he said to just keep giving him lots of fluids, and it would eventually run its course. He's not super sick, but it is hard to watch him be in pain. I'm really hoping he will be all better very soon.

  1. Braden is so funny! You just never know what he is going to tell you, and believe me when I say, you never know what he is going to tell!!
