InstaFriday

It's the last Friday of 2012! Life just keeps going by faster and faster every year. We've had a great week just hanging out at home. I used my big camera more than my phone this week, so I only have a few Instagrams to share.

1. Cam loves bananas. This was the first time he ate one with the peel still on (we usually peel them and cut them in half for him).

2. Sunday after church. It was beautiful outside, so I let Cam play on the playground for a few minutes on our way out. Braden would have too, but he got in trouble for being disrespectful, and had to go to the car with Dad. We've been struggling with that lately... Lumps of coal may have been mentioned a few times.

3. We were excited about the forecast: 100% chance of snow on Christmas day, BUT... it never came. We didn't get a single flake at our house. Not even a raindrop. We watched the radar, and it just missed us. My step-sister's town got 9-10 inches, and my in-laws are currently without power. So, it snowed... just not at our house.

4. David started a jigsaw puzzle. He LOVES to do puzzles, and he's so happy that we finally have a card table.
5. Braden helped David make Christmas cookies - Snickerdoodles and Oatmeal Craisin. We were out of raisins, so he used Craisins. We like them even better! He always makes really good cookies.

5. David let me go thrifting on Christmas Eve. I told him that should have been my Christmas present. I didn't buy any of the things in this picture, but I thought the magazine rack was really cute with the yellow chevron fabric mod-podged on the ends.

6. Christmas Eve! It's our little family tradition to always spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at home.  We go to the Christmas Eve service at church and then come home to open one gift - new Christmas jammies (all washed and ready to wear). Cameron really wanted Santa jammies, but I waited too long, and everything was sold out. I ended up ordering these from Hanna Andersson ($$!) because it was all I could find. They're super soft and comfy, though, and I'm sure they'll hold up really well. I'm putting a reminder on my calendar to shop for Christmas jammies in October next year.

7. I used a Christmas countdown clock website (xmasclock.com) to make sure our numbers were correct on the chalkboard and on our little countdown to Santa blocks. The day after Christmas, it started counting down again. Only 361 days 10 hours 11 minutes and 25 seconds, 24, 23, 22, 21... until Christmas! ;)
8. Right after I published this post, it started snowing! Braden ran outside and tried to catch a snowflake on his tongue.
