I decided to go back to teaching

BIG Weekend - Details: Post #1
I decided to go back to teaching this fall.

Just for review, I taught second grade at the most wonderful school ever, starting when Braden was 2 1/2. Right before Cameron was born (Feb. 2009), I quit so I could stay home again. Braden is now enrolled for Kindergarten at that school, and I had decided that I wanted to stay home another year so I could help him with his school work on our at home days (it's a University Model school, and the students go to school 2 days/week and homeschool the other days), and have some one-on-one time with Cameron on the days Braden was at school. Well... the Lord had other plans!

I've been praying all along that if I was supposed to go back to teaching, God would make it clear to me. Just this past week, a sweet teacher friend of mine commented that there were two openings this year, one in second and one in first. I got all excited, and I started thinking about going back, and actually about possibly teaching first grade. I prayed about it a lot, and asked God to give me a specific sign. I know that sometimes God wants us to wait for His answers, so I wasn't expecting an answer in the form of the sign I had requested right away. Apparently, when God is ready to move, though, He acts fast! I got an answer to my prayer that same day! Being human, I of course questioned if God had really answered my prayer, or if I had read into it, or caused the "sign" to happen. So, I prayed again, and asked for another sign (all the while apologizing for doubting and potentially botching up the first sign). :) Well, it didn't take 3 hours, and He had given me exactly what I had asked for. So, it was with no hesitation whatsoever, that I contacted the headmaster, and told him I was ready to come back! He actually emailed me a contract that same day (Friday). Isn't that amazing?

Now, I am trusting God (and trying really hard to not freak out) for the perfect child care for Cameron. I have a preschool in mind, but I don't know yet if they have any openings. I know that God will provide, though, so I am just having faith that He will show me where Cameron should go. I am also trusting God with what my grade level assignment will be. I am really excited about the possibility of teaching first (which is what I taught in public school before Braden was born), but I know that God knows best, and whatever my assignment is (first grade or second), it will be the right one. I actually have a sense of peace about this whole situation, which just reinforces to me that I'm doing the right thing.
