David asked me to marry him!
He invited me over for dinner (crockpot BBQ and fried biscuits) on Thursday, April 1, 1999 (April Fool's Day). During dinner, he handed me a bridal magazine (Southern Bride), and I said, "Why are you giving me this!?" Then, he got down on one knee next to my chair, started saying all these nice, lovey-dovey things, and proceeded to present me with a plastic, gumball machine ring. I think I may have started hitting him and yelling, "You don't joke about that!!" At which point, he pulled the real engagement ring out of his shirt pocket and asked me to marry him. Of course, I said yes, and could barely see the ring through my tears. Just a few minutes later, he turned on the radio, and the evening dj lady said that the next song was dedicated to me. It was "From This Moment."
Ahh, the memories... :-) It's hard to believe it's been ten years!

That's so fun Jenny. :) I love looking at your old pictures....ahhh the days when denim shirts were a must. I have a denim shirt on in my senior pictures too. ha!
