Braden helped Daddy paint his big boy room this weekend! David spent last weekend and a few hours this past week prepping the room. Braden was so excited about it, I wasn't sure he was going to be able to go to sleep Friday night. Saturday morning, they went into his new room, and David opened the can of paint. Braden just kept saying over and over, "Dad! That is awesome! That is so awesome, Dad!" David started painting with the brush (cutting in the corners and stuff) and Braden kept asking, "Can I paint NOW, Daddy? Is it time for me to paint yet? Now, can I paint, Daddy?" I was really proud of David for being patient with Braden and keeping his promise that he would let him help. Braden finally got to paint on one section of the wall after lunch. He had a good time and was really careful to do it just right. David painted Braden's name on one of the blank walls in big blue letters, which Braden thought was the coolest thing. He wanted it to stay that way, of course. It's all finished now except for some touch-ups. Now, we just need to get the furniture arranged, and Braden will be able to move into his big boy room! He's VERY excited about it.
On another note, Braden counted to 110 on Saturday while we were eating lunch! He didn't even need me to supply the next ten for him (he used to count and say 39... 80, and I would have to remind him to go to 40 next). By the end of the night, he was counting to 120 all by himself! I'm so proud of him! :)
