Birthday Mini Albums

Birthday Mini Albums

Hi there! Today, I'm sharing these mini albums I just completed. I'm really excited about them! :) I've noticed that my boys' favorite pages in my big Project Life albums are the ones about their birthdays, so I decided to make each of them a Birthday Book.

I debated (and asked for their input) about what kind of album to use, and we decided on the Becky Higgins Project Life Mini Album in Kiwi green. I kept the design simple. I did Braden's album first, and used almost all the same cards for Cameron's album. That made it super easy and quick. All the cards and graphics are from the Simple Stories Digital Birthday SN@P! Set.

I ordered another Kiwi mini album for when our newest boy arrives. :) He should be here in the next 6-7 weeks! Also, I should note that Cameron has already turned six years old, but I haven't finished my Project Life pages for that week yet, so I'm waiting to do his Birthday Book spread until then. Hope you had a BLESSED EASTER! :)

    1. Thank you, Donna! Braden has already said he's taking his with him when he grows up (YAY!), so I have plans to make a duplicate for myself. I'm going to combine all the boys into one 12x12 album. I love that the mini album spreads will easily convert to Design A page protectors. :)

    1. Thanks, Liz! I also forgot to mention that the mini albums have exactly the right number of pages for the birth, 18 birthdays, and a title and closing page! Divine Providence, I tell ya. ;)

    2. I just now looked at the albums online. They are wonderful, and your reply to Liz answered the only question I had -- room for more pages? Yes. :-) Love you, Mom

  3. Oh Jenny, such wonderful albums, what a great idea! Can't believe Braden already knows to say he is taking his with him, YAY indeed!! The size, colors of pictures and cards, and even the kiwi green go fabulously well together too!

  4. Hello Jenny,
is simply fantastic your idea, I also want to do for my children.
I bought the album, Simple Stories of kit, but when I print the card's 4x6, they do not enter the album pocket. :( Do not know what I'm doing wrong. It is my first time with an album with pocket's. Do you have any tips? I use Photoshop for editing and printing.
And once again, his album was very beautiful. A beautiful inspiration for all of us!

    1. Hi Carolina, Thank you! :) I sometimes have to trim the edges of my 4x6 prints to get them to fit into the pockets. Also, the pocket pages only have openings on one side, so you may have to slip them in from the back side of the page, depending on which side you're working on. Does that make sense? Hope that helps!

  5. I love this idea, Jenny! I have yet to work with Project Life but always see their stuff and it looks fun. I use to be HUGE on scrapbooking many, many years ago but it was time consuming and an expensive habit. This looks like it may be more doable. Also, I'm just noticing that you must have had a new addition to your family recently, right? Hope all is well!!

    1. Thanks, Jennifer! Project Life (and digital scrapbooking in general) is much more doable than the traditional paper stuff. :) We DO have a new addition! He's doing great. I'm going to post some pictures soon. :)
