Will you marry me?

Fourteen years ago today, David asked me to marry him! Yes, he did it on April Fools' Day. :) I wrote about how he asked me back on the tenth anniversary.

SO many memories!!

I found the folder full of printed emails David wrote to me when we first started dating in 1997. It took me about an hour to read through them all, and when I was finished, I was all giddy. :) We were SO in love!


Notes: He wrote this email to me less than a month after we started dating. Lael was one my roommates and a friend of David's (they both played trombone, and we were all in KKY/TBS together). David called me his "Freak Girl," and signed his cards and notes, "Freak Boy." I can't remember exactly how that started, but I think it had something to do with me freaking out at some point, and also about us being "freaks" for being so into each other.

This weekend, David read through about half of the emails, and I think he was a little embarrassed about some of the stuff he wrote back then. Well, maybe not embarrassed, but he was definitely thinking that he was a naive sap. He said, "We thought we were in love, but it was shallow. Now it's so much deeper."

I sure do love him!
