Opening Page
I said last week that I was going to have to set some parameters for myself, so... here's what I decided: (scroll down if you just want to see the pictures - ha!)
1. I'm only using Design A (2 4x6 photos at the top and bottom of each page and 4 3x4 journal cards across the middle). There are lots of other choices, but I need fewer choices. I'll tweak it as needed.
2. I'm only using digital kits that include matching journal cards. No more making my own. It's fun and creative, but takes WAY too much time. So, I'm sticking with the pre-designed stuff.
3. My weeks will run Monday - Sunday. Last year, I did Sunday - Saturday, and I didn't like having to split up the weekend trips and events.
4. I'm going to TRY MY BEST to finish (note that says FINISH, not start) the previous week's layout on Monday. For this first week, I started putting the layout together on Friday and finished it on Sunday night. I might try to keep that up, but we'll see how it goes in real life. A little at a time is the way to go, I think. Slow and steady wins the race. Also, doing the laundry first is a good idea. Ha.
Here we go!

There you have it! What do you think? It's so fun. Well, for me anyway. If you don't LOVE digital scrapbooking, then you're probably like, "What's the big whoop?" Have you said, "big whoop" lately? Well, there you go. You probably just did. ;)
Anyone joining me in Project Life this year? If so, please let me know! I love to look at other people's pages! If you're thinking about it, go check out BeckyHiggins.com. I'm going to go calm down now. I have about 2 minutes of "quiet time" left before the boys come bursting into the living room.

ReplyDeleteThanks, Catherine! :) It's easy to get started if you to do it too. :) :)
DeleteThese look great! I'm also sticking with Design A this year for less decisions! I have 12 weeks to finish from last year, and I'm also planning to stay current while finishing those up.
ReplyDeleteHi Kirsten! Thanks so much! I hope staying current is easy this year (for both of us!). :)
