Project Life: Week 1

Less thinking. More doing. That's what I'm talkin' about! :)

Project Life: Week 1

2012 Project Life: Week 1a

Week1-Right2

The current plan is to do a two-page spread for each week. Last year, my goal was a monthly two-pager, but putting a whole month together was too hard. One week at a time seems more doable. It means more pages, more often, which could be more work, but it's not as overwhelming, which means it might actually get done.

I'm pretty sure I'll do a printed photo book at the end of the year. I considered doing a 3-ring binder album with page protectors. I like how Ali Edwards puts smaller pages in-between her weekly spreads, but then I read that she ended up using THREE 12x12 3-ring albums for one year, and I just don't have the storage space for that!

I figured out that I'll end up with 106 pages (2 pages per week plus the title and end pages). Unfortunately Shutterfly's photo books max out at 101 pages, so I've been hunting all day for a different photo book printer. I think I've decided on Inkubook. The reviews I read were pretty good (here, here, and here) and the price can't be beat. Here's my work in progress:

Oh, I almost forgot! I am not putting a whole lot of journaling on my layouts because I've decided to print out my weekly journaling pages (which I'm typing in a Word document) and put them in their own 3-ring binder (8.5x11). Probably one of these from Target:

I may put some of the boys' artwork and other ephemera in page protectors in that binder also. We'll see! I'm just glad to finally have a plan! :)
