Day 12: Music & Basketball

We got up early this morning to go to Cam’s preschool program rehearsal at 8:30. He was really confused about being there on a Monday. He was upset at first, but he stayed up on the stage while the kids sang all the songs. He’s been wanting me to sing “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star,” but change “little star” to “shining star.” Sure enough, one of their songs said, “Twinkle Twinkle Shining Star.”  After the practice, we went to Target to get a gift for Braden's teacher. We found some cute stuff, but I had to constantly redirect the boys away from all the toys. The talk we had in the car about not buying anything for them because Christmas was only two weeks away obviously did no good. I did end up buying each of them a $1 snow globe. After Target, we drove through Steak ‘n Shake. It was only 10:30, but they let us order hamburgers. When we got home, Braden was super upset because his had cheese on it (even though I ordered it plain). Sorry, buddy. Braden finished up his school work and I did laundry. B’s first Upward Basketball practice was tonight. Two boys from school are on his team, and we saw several girls from my class practicing with another team. After basketball, we went home and David picked up KFC for us for dinner. I was really tired, and tried to go to bed a little early. David was working on something for work, so he stayed up. I didn’t sleep well at all. So much for going to bed early.
