Teacher Appreciation

Our school's Teacher Appreciation Week was last week. Some of the other moms in Braden's Kindergarten class put together a scrapbook of pages made by each child. Here are the pages he (we) made:

He was very upset that I had to "cut off Cameron's fingers" to get the page trimmed to the right size. From left to right: Cameron, Mrs. K___, and Braden. He drew this picture a couple of weeks ago, and has since started adding torsos to his people drawings. :)

Braden wrote this letter to his teacher. It reads:

Dear Mrs. K___, (He wrote her last name, but I deleted it before posting)
I like Kennedy. I like Mrs. K___. I like Adelynn. You are nice. Thank you for teaching me.
Love, Braden

So sweet. Kennedy and Adelynn are her two little girls. Braden loves both of them. Every Tuesday and Thursday, when it's time to go pick up Cameron at preschool, he watches to see if Mrs. K___ has left school yet, and hopes that we beat her to the preschool so we can pick Kennedy up and wait for Mrs. K___ to get there. Mrs. K___ is WONDERFUL! We love her lots.

My first grade class also put together a little handmade scrapbook for me, and I love it! I might try to take some pictures of it, but I'm keeping it at school for now. I keep meaning to let the kids look through it, but haven't had the time yet (our school days are super busy!).

The families at our school are all amazing, and they really know how to show the love during teacher appreciation week! :)

P.S. The scrapbook page we made is the first non-digital page I have done in YEARS! It was fun to get out my old scrapbooking supplies, but digital is still my favorite (no mess to clean up!). Oh, and the photo looked not-so-great because I had to print it on my inkjet printer, and it looked even worse after I scanned the finished page. So, I added the digital photo back in on top of the scanned one, and erased parts of it so the little heart embellishment wouldn't be covered up. I think it looks pretty good (gotta love Photoshop!). I'm planning to get a copy printed to put in Braden's school scrapbook (which I'm currently working on in my "spare" time). Anywho... more on that later!
