Short Haircut!

No, not me. :)
You may recall that Cameron sported a semi-natural mohawk in his younger days:

Lately, it's been sticking to his forehead in the front and butterflying out on the sides (as shown in the following photos):

He was actually having a "good hair day" in that last picture. Notice how he's chowing down on a big 'ol biscuit? He now wants his food in big boy pieces. He got very upset in McDonald's last week when I cut his apple dippers into little bites. It took me forever to figure out what he wanted, but when I finally handed him the whole slice, he was so happy! Same goes for bananas and biscuits, apparently. Well, not whole bananas... just whole slices. I digress.

After the haircut:

Wow. What happened to my BABY? He grew up in the barber's chair! It has taken me all weekend, but I'm finally getting used to it. Braden said he looked like a different baby. David said it made him look ornery. I agreed with both of them. I'm warming up to it now, though. It's certainly easier to "fix," and still looks OK even when the unruly parts are totally sticking out. I find myself rubbing his head a lot more now. His hair is so soft.

Braden asked Ms. Shannon to spike his hair up. She obliged. It stayed that way for two days. We went to Old Navy to try on clothes on Saturday, and he kept checking the mirrors to make sure it was still spiked up. It was, but it was gross and crusty. He actually said his head was hurting by the time we washed it out on Saturday night. Anyway, here's a picture:

He didn't want to smile for the camera. He was too busy enjoying family movie night (Charlotte's Web, the old animated version) and eating pizza.
