The Little Things

It's the little things that bring me joy (and keep me sane). In this constantly overwhelming and exhausting time of year (beginning of school), I find comfort in having at least a few things that are completely organized. For example, here is my file box for Braden's school work. I love it.


And here is my newly organized drawer of college T-shirts (Thanks, Ashley, for the T-shirt folding/filing tip!). No, I don't wear any of these, but I'm not ready to part with them just yet. I love how they're all in this one little space, and I can open it up and see them if I so choose. It's like a scrapbook in a drawer.


I've been trying to be productive this Labor Day weekend. I just found out our neighborhood garage sale will be in a couple of weeks, and I'm so excited about getting rid of more clutter. I have had a HUGE tub of maternity clothes sitting in the floor of our master bedroom closet for almost two years now. I can't believe it's been in there that long, but it has! I cleared it out and put a bunch of the clothes in a pile to sell. I crammed the ones I wanted to keep in Space Bags, and managed to get them all in a tub half the size of the original one. Ah... Now, I just need David to haul it up to the attic for me. Once I cleared out the maternity tub, I tackled the hang-up clothes. I had clothes in my closet that I wore in high school (I graduated 16 years ago if that tells you anything). I managed to pull out almost everything that I no longer wear. We are going to have a LOT of clothes in our garage sale!
