David is coming home today - WOO HOO!!! As of 3:05 PM, he is in Dallas!! I can't express how excited I am to see him again. I can't wait to hear all about everything he did in Russia, and I also can't wait to tell him how God has been working on my heart this week while he was away. Jesus loves me, this I know! I was so dreading this trip, and it was hard in the middle when I was really, really missing him and couldn't talk to him, but it has turned into a time of learning for me and growing closer to God, which is awesome. I will plan to post pictures and a run-down of all the mission adventures in Ekaterinburg after David fills me in. Only a few more hours until we're together again!

Right before David left, we had family portraits done (I was really freaking out that he was going to Russia and wanted to make sure we had a family portrait before he left just in case something bad happened... I know, completely sad and morbid). At least now we have one with all four of us. We never got any professional portraits done for Cameron as a newborn, and I have felt guilty about that for months. I will try to let it go, though, and maybe get him in the studio for some individual pictures here in the next couple of months. I forget how easy it is to run into JC Penney and get them done. And it's so inexpensive (if you have a coupon - which I always do). I think the pictures turned out great! I still want to do a "real" photo shoot with a "real" photographer, but these will certainly do for now.

Here are a couple of quirky/funny/cute things about our kiddos:
Braden made his first "business" phone call yesterday. We've been talking about going to see the Toy Story Double Feature in 3D, and I remembered that the ad said it would only be playing for 2 weeks. I told Braden that I would have to call the theater and ask when the last day was, so we could plan to go sometime before it ended. He said HE wanted to call the theater. I was a little surprised that he wanted to, but I went with it. We practiced a couple of times before he called, and talked about how that he needed to use a clear voice, ask nicely, and say thank you. He did a great job! Here's what I could hear on our end of the conversation: "Um, can you tell me... I mean, can you please tell me when the last day for Toy Story Double Feature is, please? ... Thursday, the 15th? ... OK, thank you." What a big little man! :)
Cameron, who is very laid back and super easy going, is picky about his books! He definitely has his favorites, and if you try to read a book that he doesn't want to read, he will let you know it. He'll usually turn the first couple of pages, but then if he's not into it, he starts turning away, arching his back, and trying to close the book with his other hand. It's funny because he's so NOT picky about anything else. Maybe he'll grow up to be a critic or an editor! ;)
Here's a sweet picture of my mom and Cameron. It was so nice to have her stay with us for almost a whole week while David was gone. The second picture just cracks me up. :)

One more thing... Here's a little video my mom filmed of Braden at his soccer game last Saturday (He's the boy on the blue team with the red socks).
