Jenny Bees is Closed

It's been a long time coming, actually, but I've decided to close my little stationery business. I know some of you are gasping for air at the moment and crying out, "WHY???" (At least that's how I see you in my imagination).

There's no big exciting reason. It's just that the still, small voice (of God) has been telling me for quite a while that it was not really what I needed to be doing. I ignored Him for a long time, and made excuse after excuse as to why I should continue - it's fun, my friends like it when I make things for them, it allows me to make some extra money, it's not hurting anyone!

But, every time I think about the tax man, I get an icky feeling in my stomach. I tried a year or two ago to get organized and make the business a legal entity, but it was way overwhelming. It was going to cost a whole lot of money (or at least more than I was willing to spend) to make everything legit, and the idea of having to really keep up with inventory, receipts, etc. took all the fun out of it. If it's not fun, then there goes one of my main reasons for doing it.

So... I am finally following His instructions, and closing up shop. I still have a lot of supplies left (especially note cards), so I will continue to make things for local friends until I run out, but the online business is officially closed. I'm a little sad, but mostly I feel good about finally doing what I know in my heart is right.

I was wondering why your JennyBees website still hasn't been up and running since Cameron's been born!! I am so sad that JennyBees is closing, but I support your decision.
