We went on our first little family vacation on October 17th. We took Braden to Branson to go to Celebration City. It was fun, and he had a really good time riding all the kid rides. He especially loved the ferris wheel (unlike Mommy!). We stayed for the fireworks and didn't get back to our room at the
Bradford House until late. We were very proud of how well Braden did staying up late at the amusement park, but we were regrettting doing it the next morning! He was one tired and cranky boy! We managed to hit the outlet mall for an hour or so (mainly The Disney Store and Stride Rite), then ate lunch at Panera, and headed home.
Halloween was kind-of a bust this year. Braden enjoyed his Buzz Lightyear costume (which we bought on sale at The Disney Store outlet in Branson), but he wasn't too keen on trick-or-treating. We were surprised by that, because he really enjoyed it last year, and he had been "practicing" by knocking on the closet doors at home for weeks! When it came time to actually go out in the dark and knock on real doors, though, he completely chickened out. We made it to one neighbor's house and then had to come back home. Oh, well... maybe next year!
